Tying to line up the ducks is probably a mug’s game, especially if it starts with trying to change your Facebook page name.
The process is presumably automated, given my case number: #10155515998717457!
If so, while I respect the growing artificial intelligence in our lives as the precursor to an intelligence way greater than ours in the near future, currently, as it is dealing with my page name request, it’s not able to understand the nuances. Nor that it is messing with my business.
The reason they rejected the page name change from Why You Must Blog to Why Your Stories Matter was the two names being as different as I love New York to I love San Francisco, and as such misleading to my followers.
Ah. But no.
Beyond clarity of purpose, principle and intention for blogging, good blogging is good storytelling. Why Your Stories Matter is all about just that, why your stories matter, and they do.
As a business development pivot for my blog, it reflects a logical extension from helping people tell their stories online, to training them how to tell their stories offline.
So the appeal continues. I’m not sure I’ll be able to make Face Book’s equivalent of SIRI understand the business case, or to what extent its arbitrary decision making is maddening.
And, this was just step one to line up a now wobbling duck, in pursuit of running a 12 week campaign for a public workshop. It’s about why and how to tell story as the most compelling tool in your communications arsenal. On and offline!
Details soon, but you could keep the date, 17th November, 2017.
Please let me know if you have ever tried to change your Facebook page name? Were you successful? I would love to hear from you, and any tips would be greatly appreciated.
