Here’s the trust monitor. It is based on some of the key attributes that together, constitute trust. You can use it to assess the trustworthiness of almost anything, an offer, product, solution, person, staff member or client.
Mark each of these questions on a scale of one to ten, where one is poor and ten is excellent.
Disclosure: How much of the whole picture do you feel you are really being told? Are you having to read between the lines?
Authenticity: What makes you feel this is authentic? What are the credentials? Are there testimonials and how authentic are they?
Transparency: Do you feel that everything that is relevant for you to make a decision has been shared? That there is no hidden agenda?
Competency: Are the necessary skills or features needed to deliver what has been offered been clearly demonstrated?
Inclusivity: Are you in the know? Are you a partner in the process? Do you feel part of the tribe? Has everything been shared that you need to know to make a decision?
It’s a handy tool to use to benchmark whether you should proceed or not. Anything with an aggregate score below five should be avoided.
